There are a number of parks and gardens to visit in the local area, recognising the love that French people have for the natural environment. Most are open from April to September but please check the websites for precise opening times.

Many of the towns also have attractive and well maintained public gardens, ideal to wander around and enjoy the flora and fauna. One suggestions is Fougères, which has superb hill-top views towards the castle.
